Artificial intelligence and Machine learning courses are grabbing the people towards IIT Kharagpur. The reason Behind this is the institute is planning a six month course in it’s units. The course will attract professionals in the field as well as engineering students. The course is specially for professionals and engineers only. The institute is starting the courses in all IIT Kgp units in Bengaluru, Klokata, Kharagpur and possibly in Hyderabad as well.

“A rigorous AI programme for professionals is the need of the hour. The programme has been designed by IIT Kharagpur faculty in consultation with industry experts.”

The course is a total of 16 credits and also one capstone project. Every module is special in it’s own way. The institute made sure to cover all the topics of artificial intelligence and machine learning course. The course will cover mathematical, algorithmic foundations and also AI fundamentals and several modules on statistical and ML methods.

Artificial Intelligence center head Sudeshna Sarkar “this certificate programme will strengthen India’s talent pool in ML and AI. He added that faculty experts from IIT Kharagpur and other reputed academic institutions as well as industry experts will take the classes.

In first week of january, The inistitute had announced the launch of an off-campus centre of excellence for AI in Hyderabad campus. The premier institute is working with the Telangana government for the same and will unveil it by March 2019. The institute also plans to set up a 2,000 sq ft research park in Kukatpallya. Theree it will primarily focus on AI, cybersecurity, defence, aerospace as well as advanced manufacturing and robotics.
